The crown of thorns Jesus wears is a reminder that His love for each of us came at a cost — and He paid it willingly, gladly, and completely. We are never truly lost to Him. He is always searching, always reaching, always ready to gather us back. I hope that as you look at this painting, you feel that same assurance — that the Savior asks only that we be willing to be found, that we soften our hearts enough to feel His arms around us.
