Star Valley Wyoming Temple with Indian Paintbrush

"Each [temple] stands as a beacon to the world, an expression of our testimony that God, our Eternal Father, lives, that He desires to bless us and, indeed, to bless His sons and daughters of all generations." —Thomas S. Monson

Story Behind the Art

I love this temple. It has special meaning for me, as it is one closer to my home. The people of Wyoming have a unique personality and culture. Afton Wyoming, the setting of the Star Valley is temple is a beautiful place with rustic charm and a lot of untamed plants and sagebrush. The state flower of Wyoming is the Indian Paintbrush, so it seemed fitting to create temple artwork to reflect the area around it. This flower blooms and creates beauty in the mountains and desert areas, much like the people that live in Wyoming. - Mandy Jane Williams
