Precious Above All

Come unto me and ye shall partake of the fruit of the tree of life. - Alma 5:34

Story Behind the Art:

Tree of Life imagery is used in many different religions and cultures throughout the world, often symbolizing the connection between heaven and earth and every living thing. The Tree of Life is shown in vision to prophets in the Book of Mormon: "And I looked and beheld a tree; and it was like unto the tree which my father had seen; and the beauty thereof was far beyond, yea, exceeding of all beauty; and the whiteness thereof did exceed the whiteness of the driven snow." (1 Nephi 11:8) Its fruit is described as "most precious and most desirable above all other fruits," and representative of "the greatest of all the gifts of God." (1 Nephi 15:36) This painting serves as a reminder of God's great love for us and the goal of attaining eternal life. - Annie Nader
