I was born and raised in Sacramento, California, and then during my teenage years I moved with my family to rural Burley, Idaho. I’ve been drawing pictures ever since I can remember, and I’ve always wanted to paint for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (and of course for Disney). I graduated from high school early with high hopes of achieving these goals, and at age 17 I attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, followed by BYU-Idaho and BYU-Provo where I received my Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts from their Illustration programs. Following graduation, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work for the Church and Disney in the Salt Lake area. I worked as an artist and producer for Disney Interactive Studios for 13 years in their Concept, Character, and Marketing Departments. I have also been a freelance illustrator for the Church magazines for 5 of those years, creating around 30 pieces of original art. I enjoy painting people and capturing their spirit and the Spirit of the moment. I have a great love for the Gospel and a desire to share the Lord’s work through painting. My goal is to do a series of portraits and moments with the Savior and to share that work far and abroad.
