In John 17 we witness the Savior in prayer to His Father. We see in this prayer Christ’s humility and willingness to do the work He had been given to do as well as His expression of love for us by praying on our behalf. I wanted to focus on His face and His hands because to me it represents the hope, faith, and humility that come with sincere prayer. He is our perfect example of how to pray and hopefully this painting helps us as we pray in faith for ourselves and in behalf of those that we love.
